Compare-first control tower

Compare ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Qwen, and Grok from one local side panel.

MultiAiPanel is a browser-native extension and browser-side control tower that fans one prompt out to multiple supported AI chats, lines the answers up side by side, and keeps the trust boundary inside your browser.

The supported install path today is the packaged GitHub Release zip. Browser-store submission materials are being kept ready, but GitHub Releases remains the supported install surface today.

Builder integrations are real, but they stay intentionally second-ring. Use MCP packets, host packets, distribution truth, and Docker integration docs after the product path is already clear, not before.

The official MCP Registry already returns a live MultiAiPanel MCP entry for the same governed integration surface. That does not make the browser-store path live, and it does not turn every host lane into an official published marketplace surface.

Default path

Install, run one compare, then export or retry from the same turn.

MultiAiPanel is easiest to judge on one honest path: install the packaged build, open the AI tabs you already trust, run a single compare turn, then keep moving from that same turn with export or retry instead of rebuilding context.

You do not need the integration lane, MCP starter kits, distribution packets, or the Docker integration path to decide whether the core compare-first product is useful.

01

Install

Use the packaged GitHub Release build and skip local setup on the first pass.

02

Compare

Ask one real prompt from the side panel while your trusted tabs stay open.

03

Keep the turn

Retry only failures or export a readable artifact before you ever open builder docs.

Why people star it

The front door leads with outcomes, not framework trivia: one prompt fan-out, a readable compare board, honest trust boundaries, and a clean path from install to first answer.

Compare responses side by side

Line up model answers in one board instead of bouncing between tabs and losing context.

Keep everything local in your browser

No hosted relay, no extension account layer, and no extra trust hop between you and the sites.

Reuse the AI tabs you already use

MultiAiPanel works with the sessions you already keep open on supported AI chat sites.

Export and restore sessions without a backend

Keep your compare runs portable with import/export support inside the extension settings.

Use cases that fit the product

These pages exist to answer a real user question, not to create empty SEO surface. Each one points back to a workflow MultiAiPanel can actually support today.

What changes in practice

The strongest evidence is not a vague promise about AI productivity. It is the before-and-after of the comparison workflow itself: less tab juggling, less copy-paste, and one place to review the run.

Manual comparison means duplicating prompts, waiting across tabs, and rebuilding context by hand. MultiAiPanel reduces that overhead to one prompt fan-out, one compare board, and one saved local session.

The demo flow now shows the extension moving from ready state to compare fan-out to staged next-step workflow and completed side-by-side results.

The compare board now keeps next-step workflow, analyst guidance, model status, copy actions, and source-site shortcuts clear in one turn-level surface.

Settings keep the surface polished for real use too: import/export, language, theme, and input behavior live in one panel.

First-success path

Install, compare once, then keep the turn alive.

What you need first: a Chromium-compatible browser with Developer Mode and at least one supported AI chat tab already open and signed in inside the same browser profile where you load MultiAiPanel.

  1. Download the latest packaged build from the latest GitHub Release and unzip it locally.
  2. Open chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, and load the extracted folder as an unpacked extension.
  3. If the MultiAiPanel icon is hidden, open the browser Extensions menu, pin it, and click the toolbar icon to open the side panel.
  4. Open your supported AI tabs, ask one prompt, and compare every answer from the side panel.
  5. Retry only the failed cards or export a readable compare artifact from that same turn.

Today the supported install path is the packaged GitHub Release zip. A lower-friction store install path is being prepared, but it is not live yet.

Official Google Chrome branded builds 137+ / 139+ no longer reliably auto-load unpacked extensions from command-line flags. Keep automated runtime proof on Chromium or Chrome for Testing. If you are validating in real Chrome, open chrome://extensions, enable Developer Mode, and use Load unpacked manually in the same signed-in profile.

Optional integrations

Use governed coding-agent integrations only after the product path is clear.

The integration is real, but it is a secondary builder surface for Codex, Claude Code, and narrower public-bundle-ready lanes after you already understand the compare-first product.

Public distribution truth, starter kits, and host packets still matter. They just should not outrank install, first compare, export, and retry.
